PRESBYTERIAN AND REFORMED
We are a reformed church, both in theology and worship.
We are a presbyterian church which describes our pluralistic leadership through elders.
We believe that Christ is working through his Church in this world and we are to recognise it and be part of it, that is why we are part of the fellowship of churches in the International Presbyterian Church denomination .
THE WESTMINSTER CONFESSION OF FAITH
We are a confessional church, that is, we consider the apostolic creeds to be faithful summaries of historic Christian teaching and adhere with conviction to a historic confession of faith, specifically to The Westminster Confession of Faith, which you can access here.
OTHER HISTORICAL CONFESIONS
Our church also considers historical documents called “The Three Forms of Unity”, Our church also considers historical documents called “The Three Forms of Unity“, as faithful summary of the teaching of Scripture.
IPC – INTERNATIONAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
As stated before we are a church plant under the care and authority of the “International Presbyterian Church”, European Presbytery. The first IPC church in Romania was planted in Timisoara in 2003 by Pastor Liviu Lepadatu, who is also the supervising elder over the Sibiu church planting together with Phil Davis and Leo Proot. More details about the history of the IPC denomination can be found here.
OUR VALUES
We affirm that Scripture in its entirety is inerrant, being free from all falsehood, fraud, or deceit.
We affirm that Scripture, both the Old and the New Testaments, is an inspired divine revelation, the original autographs of which verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit.
We believe Scripture is sufficient in that it is the only inspired, inerrant, and therefore final authority for Christians for faith and godliness, with all other authorities being subservient to Scripture.
